Words of Me: Courage

Strathmore Visual Journal
Words of Me: Courage

Sweet Leslie is hosting another WORD challenge - and this time, she's encouraging us to create anything we'd like using a specific word of the week. Like last time, I will be joining as much as possible ('cause I've only finished week one and the group is on to week three, deep sigh . . .) using my beloved Strathmore Visual Journal . . . .

The inspiration for week one is COURAGE. I based my page around the following quote by E.E. Cummings:

"It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are."

You're turn! To check it out for yourself, please follow the link below:

Thank you for your time,
Kristin xo

What fun vibrant pages with a serious underbelly. That quote really hits the nail on the head - yes, it really does take courage to become who we are, and to accept who we are and be ok with it. It took me 46 years!

Beautiful pages Kristin... vibrant and gorgeous... I love the reference to growing up with the stamped face image over the little body... and love the color and the words... so very true...

What a great spread - I love the circus feel, and how you jumped the page with that bubble gum wrapper. And the quote - I truly love that quote, I've heard it before and it always makes me stop and think.

What a lovely bright page Kristin (not that I would expect a dull one from you, but you know...)! So much goodness in one spread... the bookmark (or whatever it is) of your signature girl, the cutesie elephant, the girl with a square head...sooo much goodness as usual!
