Kindergarten!

Teacher gifts: academic calendars with Papaya postcards and a bag of Swarovski crystal pushpins for the Director
She was so excited for her first day of Kindergarten! 
The backpack helped . . .
Cool Mom points for letting her wear a dinosaur t-shirt on the first day of school (read, a day that will forever be documented in pictures)?
"What was your favorite thing about school, Love?" 
Answer: "My backpack!"

5 mornings a week. My friend Nina is her teacher. Lucky us. This is the last year of kiddie school before big bad first grade. . . How did this happen? My baby is going to be 5 next month and I still remember bringing her home from the hospital like it was yesterday. Now she wears t-shirts from the boys department and is obsessed with dinosaurs. And. Goes. To. Kindergarten.  . . . Dramatic sigh . . .

    It's ok momma, she may grow faster than you would like but she will aleways be your baby. Mine are 28 and 34. Sometimes I hear a hello mommy from the 34 year old. Usually it means she isn't feeling well. Your little Kendra sure is developing a fun personality. And yes, Kudos to your for letting her personality (love of dinosaurs) shine through on her first day of kindergaten. She looks so cute.

    HI, Miss Kristin!! I have been gone for the past 7 days!! Missed visiting here so much...and I know I have missed out on much...trying to catch up.

    Your Kendra is darling! Love that photo and her dinosaur shirt is priceless:) She reminds me of my Emma at that age. And believe me...she will be 13 tomorrow!!! Goes way to fast.

    Kendra is quite the character! She reminds me so much of my granddaughter Kate who also starts kindergarten next Tues. The next thing you know you will be sending her off to collage. The time flies by so fast!

    Oh Kendra is sooooooooooo cute!!! I know the feeling when they first go to school, she will LOVE it though and it is very exciting when you see them start to be able to read and write and do all sorts of new things.

    Mind you when my baby (Riley) starts pre school in February (our school year goes from Feb to December over here) I'm sure I'll be doing my fair share of sighing ;0)
