Dear Mojo . . .

(When we last met)

Dear Mojo,

I miss you. To be honest, I feel it rather unkind of you to have left without so much as an air kiss goodbye. No words, no warning, not even a note left under the pillow . . . Where did you go? One day we were playing with our favorite crayons together happily creating a color-blocked background for, well, something and the next . . . nothing, nada. Not one thing. Mojo, please come back. I promise to let you play with anything you want . . . and I'll even let you drink all my iced coffee . . . just come back to me. I'll be the one sitting in the studio with a clean apron . . . waiting . . ..

Kristin xo

Oh, how well I know this feeling! My mojo leaves me suddenly and without any fanfare, too. But be patient....it will return.

Oh Kristin, this made me feel so sad reading your letter to your mojo. Mine has disappeared too and I've been bereft without it. But, I should be used to it as it does happen every so often. And then, just as suddenly, she's back without explanation and I don't question her too closely for fear I'll frighten her away! I love your crayon blocks. penny

Loving this wonderful background Kristin, reminds me so much of 'The Summer of Colour'.

Lost my Mojo for a couple of weeks and then I saw something that made me really want to paint it and off we both went.......Have a great weekend, Annette x

Be p[atient Kristin... Mojo's only away temporarily, gathering material for the next creative explosion.

My mojo comes and goes as she pleases! So frustrating.

Your background is lovely, Kristin. You will be back in no time...Your little Kendra sure is a cutie!

Awww, cute letter to your missing Mojo!

I'm kinda in a creative funk too at the moment - maybe our Mojo's are off being naughty together somewhere!

Don't worry, Kristin. I suspect you'll be back creating beautiful artwork very soon.

That darn mojo just goes missing without warning. Not nice! But she doesn't usually stay away for long. Hope you find her again soon.

That background kind of reminds me of one of those old tv test cards...

It's called: my daughter went away to school and I feel like my arm is gone syndrome. It happens. The best cure is to be a bit lazy for a few days, and your mojo will come RUNNING after you. It'll feel left out because you didn't run after it! Chasing it won't work! Take some time to paint your toenails, read a book, watch a TV show you never get to usually...you know, play hard to get with Mojo. Hugs, kath

Oh my goodness, I can so totally relate. Maybe it's the extremely hot and long summer that chased it away. I know it hasn't inspired me much. I'm certain as the Fall air and magic begin to show itself, Mojo will wander back and you'll be like two peas in a pod again. :)

Made me laugh - I've been feeling the same the last few weeks after a summer of energetic creativity - perhaps all the mojos are at a convention or holiday retreat somewhere !!!!

it will be back, whispering in your ear when you least expect it!

Kristin!!! LOL!!!! I hear ya sista!! I think maybe my mojo kidnapped your mojo and they're hitting up all the cool art stores and coffee shops together and then dancing the nights away... and painting too!

I love this post so much. I've missed you and your blog and this was the perfect post to welcome me back to Blogland. Thanks for making me laugh!

Oh bless!!!! I do empathise Kristin - I am in the same boat...I like to think of my mojo and having gone on a little holiday and will come back all refreshed and straining at the leash of creativity - it's a long holiday this time though (sigh)

I can totally relate! This is great! I think my mojo kicks me in the butt and laughs before it runs away...or maybe I'm just a little paranoid. LOL. Thanks for the great post!-Kelly
