Hi Kristin. I'm really glad you asked that question. It gave me food for thought. I'm a newbie as far as art and journalling go, and the I'm just realising now that I don't use my favourite colour combination in my work - ever! The colours that came to mind were black white and red (with some grey if degrees of light and shade are needed), but I haven't done one spread using them, so today I will. Thanks for the inspiration and a chance to win a spot with all you wonderful ladies teaching on LB 2015 with Tam.

You've made me think about this! If you asked me my favourite colours - straight away I'd say purple, black and the autumnals.

If you ask me the colours I have to replace the most often in my paint stash? Turquoise, Sea Breeze (a pale blue in the Kaiser colour range), Aqua and Pistachio! That has surprised me... quite a bit actually.

Thank you for the chance Kristin - I suspect THEY are just as honoured to be teaching alongside YOU!

Bright greens and dreamy blues are my usual go-to colors. A "mystery palette challenge" themed altered book I just worked on forced me to step out of my normal color comfort zone. Using turquoise, persimmon, tomato, and white exclusively did not fell limiting as I expected it would and I was so inspired by the contrast

At the moment I do a lot of gelli printing and I love to work with three primaries and mix other colors from them; and mix with burnt umber to pull the (mixed) colors together. As it is fall I sometimes stick to the warm end of the spectrum: yellow, red and orange tones.
I'd love to win the spot on Lifebook - as it is a great inspiration for techniques and other color schemes.I looked at all my work and saw that the colour scheme Tam uses often has seeped into my work (other than LB work). So that's my second color set: magenta, yellow, yellowish green and teal. ;-)

My favorite color combinations change - very dependent upon my energy and 'mood'. Currently I am loving grounding colors - all shades of brown with a pop of pink. I hadn't loved pink before, but it is fascinating me to play with.
